Hallmark - Center Fixture Operations originally chose Center in the 1960's due to its proximity of timber production, and is still in operation. They manufacture all the in-store fixtures for Hallmark Stores and their displays in other major retailers.
The City feels that a wood or paper manufacturer would prosper for the same reason Hallmark has been here for 50 years: a good workforce, great business environment and proximity to the timber industry. The City is looking to recruit other businesses which could utilize local timber production such as:
Paper products,
Cardboard and packaging products,
Construction materials,
Furniture products,
Bio mass power generation.
